Barbara's Family Restaurant

My dad and I decided to meet for breakfast but, being from two large cities we decided to meet halfway between Srq and Tpa and also wanted to find a nice mom and pop rather than these gross chains that are popping up everywhere. This place did not disappoint! The food and atmosphere instantly took us back in time. It was true real down to earth home cooking! We have already agreed to meet up again and are talking about making it a regular breakfast stop! It's the perfect halfway marker for us to meet in the middle. We will definitely be back for the 3/4 pound rueban! Every single staff member was super polite and our cups of coffee never hit the halfway point!

We loved our lunch at Barbara’s Family Restaurant, we were allowed to bring our service dog inside, which is huge considering the extreme heat outside. She laid well under the table and enjoyed watching all the people.I really enjoyed my French Dip sandwich, with the perfect amount of cheese on a perfectly toasted bun. It was so big I took some home.My husband had the veggie omelet with hash browns.The service was just right and the atmosphere was lively. We saw all ages enjoying a variety of good looking food.My husband can’t wait until next time to try the thick onion rings he saw being served at the next booth. Unfortunately there are not many good restaurants in the my area of Tamoa. Mostly because there are only fast foods, chains and places that should not be considered restaurants. Barbaras restaurant is a real gem. Barbara decorates herself and greets guests as much as possible. Barbaras is a blessing for this area and my family loves going

I like trying different diners, especially for breakfast. I was in the Ruskin area and decided to check this place out. I ordered the Kountry Boy breakfast (not misspelled). It came with two eggs, two sausage patties, two strips of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a side. It was more than I could possibly eat. More importantly, it tasted great. Both the bacon and sausage patties tasted better than the average diner's. The prices were fair, and I had great service, too.

Great breakfast, we’re from out of town and were lucky to stumble upon this little place on our way home. Huge portions for a good price. Everything was delicious, and they know how to do grits Thank you Loretta! …

12/10 AMAZING! It’s such a nice little place and you can tell they really care about their quality and their customers! We had an absolutely wonderful experience definitely recommend!We had a breakfast lunch and dinner burger, a seafood platter and a chicken tender kids meal and it was all amazing!

Always have had good food,favorite is spaghetti but have had breakfast suppers. Redone some updating inside looks great Barbara is owner and her staff Are always smiling and helpful just had a mall birthday lunch and was great
